Since Giesen began making wine in 1984 we've made Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, and led the world in its love of the wine’s unique, delicious flavour. We make more than 10 different styles of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, so it’s no surprise that we have created this first-of-its-kind blend of Savvy with a delicious twist!
Think Pink
To create Blush Sauvignon our winemaking team started with carefully selected fruit from two of Marlborough’s most highly regarded Sauvignon Blanc growing areas. Fruit from Wairau Valley provides bright, tropical flavours, while Awatere Valley fruit gives hints of herbs, richness, depth and a long dry finish. Fermentation was stopped when the wine achieved the perfect flavour – a balance of natural sweetness and classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc character. Finally, winemakers added the exceptional element – a splash of Hawke’s Bay Merlot which gives this wine a fun and a fragrant Blush glow.

Riesling with a Twist
Fruit for this Blush was carefully selected from cool-climate vineyards in New Zealand’s treasured Marlborough and Waipara wine regions. Our signature Marlborough Riesling offers luxurious richness and bright citrus flavours that are highlighted by fabulous floral aromas from the Waipara fruit. A dash of Marlborough-grown Syrah gives this wine a touch of sweet berry flavour and its namesake blush.
Taste Blush
This inviting, beautifully-coloured Blush Riesling will greet your senses with aromas of luscious red berries and elderflower, subtle sweet spice and a refreshing twist of citrus. Take a sip and enjoy a burst of mouth-watering lime and blood orange flavours, with a touch of sweetness that finishes dry and refreshing.
